SPELLING BEE TEAM  WIN!

Izzy Kidner, Charlie MacEacharn, Ollie Rose and Luke Measelle make up the Mount House spelling bee team!

They won the regional round against eight other schools. The highlight was Charlie MacEacharn gaining the highest individual score on the day.

The next round was in Bristol where they worked very well as a team and came 2nd in one of the sessions and 5th overall but didn’t get through to the semi finals.

Congratulations to them all and a special thanks to Mrs Butcher for her hard work training and supporting them.

HENRY LOPES 113

Henry led the 1st XI to victory with his impressive total of 113 runs in an afternoon where the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and U11 A cricket teams won their matches against Plymouth College.  The U11B lost a close contest.

ELSA KENT 4TH AT STONAR

The Mount House riding team had a very enjoyable weekend and came 15th out of 43 schools competing at Stonar School last weekend. Elsa Kent was 4th and India Lewis was 13th out of 200 competitors. The other riders were Barney Treneer and Edward Barlow.

On the night before May Day     children danced in the moonlit woods……………..

Whereas the pre-prep children were too busy making their May Pole! They spent May Day dancing around it and making willow crowns for the May Day Kings and Queens.
