PRE PREP The pre-prep have had another exciting half term. The foundation stage have extended their week’s forest school in the summer to include one day a week during the rest of the year. As well as spending time learning in the forest they have also been to the beach and to church to learn about weddings and christenings. Year 2 have been concentrating on their senses. They are already familiar with sign language and this term they have explored their senses of touch, sight and hearing and what life might be like without them and other abilities. Year 1 have been busy with a visit to Morewellham Quay and together with year 2 went to the beach and played hosts to the Plymouth fire service! |

BOARDERS’ AND DAY PUPILS’ DARTMOOR CAMP 50 pupils camped out on Dartmoor in September. They walked to the remote site with their rucksacks, put up their own tents (the sixth form were wonderful helping the younger pupils—especially when it was starting to go dark!) and had a magical evening by the fire playing games and toasting marshmallows. The next morning was beautiful and after a hearty breakfast the children played team games before packing up and heading home/back to school for some sleep! See the website for a full report. |
